I've had a passion for designing throughout my career. I love to express my creativity and raise your spirit with art, color coordination, and style. I emphasize balance and harmony in any projects I execute. I thrive on the unique challenges of each project I work on.

I am a problem solver and hate to see clutter, whether it is your kitchen, bath, or closet. Minimal zing has been influential in my creations.

Born in Alberta, I am the middle of 5 sons of a contractor in Churches, Senior Home Projects, Schools and private entrepreneurship. Construction was a natural for us in this field, and I always loved it.

I've been in Calgary since 1995 and continue to contract, design, and consult with my clients with care and respect as they deserve my utmost persistence to their wishes and needs.

I do CAD plans for those that require detailed drawings on their new home or office projects and 3D renderings such as front and side elevations of warehouse building designs and curb appeal for homes.

Richard brought his expertise to us through work he had done for my wife’s sister. He assessed our situation and said that he had renovated homes older than ours. He submitted plans for the kitchen, and adjoining bedroom and entry which we liked. He undertook the work with real commitment and re-designed our kitchen. The work involved tearing out the rooms to the outer walls and re-insulating and installing new cupboards, kitchen table, flooring and light fixtures. When the project was finished we had a beautiful new home inside that was unrecognizable from what we had before. Richard was careful to make every detail fit into a complete renovation. Many people have remarked on what an excellent job was done. From the tile flooring to the granite counters and table everything looks just beautiful.

 

Later we had Richard renovate our living room and make a single master bedroom out of two smaller rooms. We had a large beam in the living room which was sagging and ruining the future prospects for the whole structural integrity of the house. Richard was able to insert a microlam beam in the attic and restore the ceiling to level. It completely transformed the front half of our house. His work on the lighting and the enlargement of the master bedroom made our home seem larger and brand new. We like his work and his commitment to detail and excellence and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
